Posting this for a friend..."skull dimples"?

Well, I have a friend (Sarah) who has a 9yr old GSD/Lab mix (Hydi) and a 2yr old Lab/Collie/Chow/GSD mix (Angel) that looks and acts exactly like a Canaan Dog. I'm posting this to ask a question about Hydi.
Ever since she was a pup Hydi has had two little "dimples" in her skull right behind her eyes. As she has gotten older, they seem to be getting bigger/deeper.
She doesn't have any medical issues, and is, as far as I know, a happy, smart, loving dog. Will these "dimples" hurt her in anyway? And what do you think caused them? Is it due to poor breeding?
(I do believe they got her from a farm as a pup....can't remember...all I remember is that she was a really cute pup! lol )

I was just curious, and if anybody has any info on this, could you let me know.

I know the type your talking about and they are normal. I suppose dogs are like humans, in that they too lose skull bone as they age, and in this case the dimple look would deepen.

No, I'm talking about dimples behind (or above) the eyes. I guess I should have explained myself a little bit better. lol It looks like she has two craters behind each eye.
(BTW, that is one CUTE Boxer you posted!! Or is it an American Bulldog? I get those two confused all of the time, since some AmBulldogs look like Boxers! lol)

Kinda in this area:

But I dont' know for sure, because that dog's head is different than Hydi's. lol
ALthough, looking at this pic more, the dimples would probably be more toward the bottom of the circle.

Can you take a picture of Hydi's head for us. This is quite interesting to say the least!

hehe, thanks. Sophie is an American Bulldog.

I know an old Rottie with the indentations on the head that you're talking about. This is where muscles once were, but with old age my guess is that they atrophy and lose mass, resulting in the "dimples."
