Arrow teething!

Jinx's baby teeth are still growing in! I thought they had all grown in, but I see some molars in the back poking through! I know his gums must be very sore. Does anyone have any tips as to what I could give him to soothe the pain?

You can buy a bone at PetsMart that you can fill with water or diluted chicken broth and freeze. It holds up to chewing pretty well but a hard chewer would probably get thru it. I have heard dipping a kitchen towel in broth or water and freezing works well but again watch out for the hard chewers.

I did that with the puppies, they loved it. They are both hard chewers, but they just kinda gummed it instead of ripping it apart. I just would replace the towel with a new one when it thawed out or else they would try ripping it. Make sure you roll it up tight before freezing, and it will last longer.

I found the gernade bones work great because of the dental tips they have, even the dental bones. must watch them with these cause they are a softer bone.

i'm doing the freezing towels with my pup, i didn't hear about dipping it in chicken broth, but i'll definately try that out. He likes chewing EVERYTHING. but we're not having trouble with him chewing furniture. He's pretty well behaved when it comes to that. I heard that freezing baby carrots where good too.

Make sure you dilute the broth and try to get low sodium or else your pup might get loose poopies!

Carrots work well too(too many will give them gas), and so do ice cubes made of broth.

Ice cubes! Great idea too! I do give him ice cubes sometimes, because he seems to love them! Now I know why.
Thanks for all the great ideas everyone!
