dry nose

Recently Jake has constantly had a dry nose. He has it all day everyday. I know that dogs have warm dry noses when they are either ill or tired. Well Jake has a dry nose when he is wide awake, but he is not ill either. He doesnt seem ill at all, just normal really. I have noticed that it seems to be dry since Tommy passed away. Is this just a coinsidence? Or something linked with Jake greiving. Im sure he is not ill, he doesnt seem ill at all, but his nose is always warm and dry. Does anyone know why this is?

A couple of my pugs seem to have a tendency to have a dry nose. I put a dab of vaseline on it. I think bag balm would work to. I know they aren't ill... they're just the way they are.

Dry nose means nothing. Is it dry where you live? The heat can sometimes brings on dry hot noses.
