I doubt he'll get bloat from it. Bloat is usually caused by drinking water too fast and getting air bubbles or from being overly active after eating and their stomach twists around, (it's called gastric torsion). My parent's dog always used to lay down and eat and never had a problem.

are Shiba's at a high risk for bloat?
I know danes are at a much higher risk than most breeds. I wouldnt worry, but next vet check time you can always talk to them about it. |

All barrell chested dogs are more at risk. Danes included.
