worms! i need some advice please!

we just saved three puppies that needed homes and we found worms in one of the dogs poop. we are now freaking out because we also have 3 cats and are worried if theyll get it too. can someone give me some advice???
we are also wondering how long it will take for the worms to get out of their system. they had shots and the worm medicine this morning. thanks in advance!!!!

They may pass the worms for a few days but after that will be fine. Typically the most common worms in pups are not spread through contact with another animal so your cats should be fine.
