How old is your dog and how advanced are the cateracts?
I have an 18 year old girl with cateracts but she can still see some things.
An operation is expensive but I would have had her done had she been younger.

I have heard of 2 methods of dealing with cataracks. Neither of which I have tried. One is to put a drop of honey on the catarack, and that will disolve it. The other is to get saliva from the dog and put that on the catarack. and that will disolve it. I know that people with contact lenses will sometimes put these in using saliva with no ill effects.
