Kota getting Spayed Finally

I've put it off quite long enough. Today I took Kota in to be fixed. Now I'll be without a dog today and of course I still worry about her. Hopefully though everything will go fine and she can come home at 4pm.

I know it's routine. But I have major anxiety about ANY surgery. Whether it's on me or my pooch. The "S" word makes me queezy. :shiver:

Your little girl gets to come home at 4?

When we took Lizzie to get spayed she had to stay the night at the vet. Well since we got Lizzie, her and Walter have NEVER been apart for the night. Walter wasn't ok with this.

But our vet said she had to stay the night. Your lucky for being able to get her to come home.

The lady at the desk said to call and Maybe she could come home. I know others that have taken theirs and they got to get them back the same day. But my mom had her chow done and she had to stay the night. But that was a special case.

Aw, I'm sure she'll do just fine. Kassie came home with me the same night also. I prefered it that way since nobody at the vet’s office would of been there with her during the night. Let us know how she’s doing.

She'll be fine, don't you worry a bit. Jasmine got to come home within a few hours, and then she slept for a few days. The puppies I was fostering came home after a few hours and acted like nothing had happened to them, they ate and played.
You take such good care of your girl, I am sure she will be great today at the vet.

I certainly hope so. That won't stop the worry though. But it helps. I thought about researching the surgery online. But that would probibly cause more anxiety.

I think what I need to do is just do some homework, get away from this knowledge maching(ie internet) and get my mind into other things for now.

4 o clock hurry up Momma wants to see her baby.

I am glad you get her tonight. I know I wasn't the same through the night without my pups.

Yep, I'm getting ready now. I have a couple of places to stop and then I'm on my way to the vets office.

Kota is back home now. She is groggy and was crying when I picked her up. You can see around her eyes the hair is wet from her crying. But she's home and getting lots of loves. She doesn't want to move a whole lot so were just sitting on the floor with her.

Thanks Dollface.

That site said no external stitches are needed. They did do that with Kota.

Oh, that hurts! I hope she is feeling better now that she is home. I was a wreck when Cozy was spayed. I'm not good with medical issues, no matter how "minor". It's only minor when it's somebody else's dog!
