raw bones
A lot of people have reccomended giving dogs raw bones. Can I get these from the butcher at my local supermarket? If so, what should I ask for exactly? Any thing in particular to avoid?

You can get marrow bones from your butcher - just tell him you want them for your dog. Raw bones are great for your dog. In fact when the marrow bone becomes hollow, you can put different fillings in it and give it back to your dog.
You probably already know this, but don't give cooked bones to your dog as they splinter very easily and can cause damage or worse. |

You can always use knuckle bones too. These are quite large and good for teething or when a pup likes to chew on things around the house.
