I feed Mia 3 times a day the recommended amount of food (3/4 cup) for her age and weight (3 lbs). But, I sware shes like a hoover vaccum. . She never gets enough.. Could it be that shes not getting enough from the food shes on

My parents dog is like that...I doubt this is your case..but their dog was beaten and often not given food- before we adopted him...
so when he has food he eats it fast...we thought maybe he wasnt getting enough food too, so we went to free feed for a few weeks to see when hed stop, and he often stopped when he ate about the same ammount of food as wed been giving him.
For him I think its still remembering that time of his life and though he knows he wont be refused food with us he still eats super fast. He was 2 when we adopted him...theyve know had him 11 years and he still does this....

It is possible it is the food, but it may also just be her style of eating...

Two of my pugs eat like they haven't eaten in weeks. Just the way they are.. if yours isn't losing weight or overly thin, then I wouldn't worry too much. I swear mine just suck it up, I don't think they even taste it.

It’s probably just her way of eating.

As do mine. If I fed them what they WANTED, they'd be rolling around instead of walking.

Had the same problem. We started adding water to their food, enough so the food would float but not so much that it was drowning. It slowed them down.

I do that with both Bentley and Oscar. Doesn't slow them down one bit. Winston is a slow, dignified eater LOL. Wish the other two would learn from him.

I can hardly get Bailey to eat anything. I resort to adding broth to her food or playing games with it to get her to eat. She is so picky. Since I switched to her new hypo-allergetic food she has gotten better, but not much. She is a little under weight but she is so hyper that she could just be burning it all off.
