Petsmart Bones...

Okay, I'm a Petsmart shopper - pretty happy with the store in general, but I know that they don't always carry the highest quality toys/treats/food. So, I've seen that they carry these "smoked bones", not what they are really called, but I can't remember what they are called! Anyways, the premise is that they smoke a raw marrow bone. I know that dogs shouldn't have cooked bones as it may cuase the bones to splinter. Are the bones that Petsmart carry safe to feed my dog? Anyone know what kinds of bone's I'm talking about?!
Thanks in advance for everyone's help!

I think i know the type, and they are cooked so they will splinter, I would say away and go to your local butcher

I wouldn't use the smoked bones, they can splinter.

They have sterilized bones though, filled and not filled. I bought the not filled ones, and Boris started breaking pieces of it, so I removed it, but I tried the filled ones and I am really happy with them. I've had them for 3 months and they haven't managed to break them at all. They loved the filling, although it's not really the most healthy thing for them, but it was gone in one hour. They still chew the bones regularly and they're still intact. You might want to try it out, just make sure you supervize them when they play with it.

Thanks for your advice, I'll stick to the ones from the butcher.
