Update on Shadow

When I first joined, Shadow was having alot of health issues. After recovering from surgery for a retro bulbar abscess he developped what the vet thought was aspergillosis....well the test are back and it is not aspergillosis ( Thank you, dear Lord ).
When the sporonox was not working ( for fungal infection of the sinus) we tried a very strong antibiotic ( Baytril ) and this seems to have reduced the crusty, runny nose. Has anyone had the problem of retro bulbar abscess with their pet? Could the two conditions be related?

Shadow and I went to the vet yesterday and he thought Shadow was improving but suggested we wait another week, and if the crusty nose worsens, we will have to take x-rays to see if there is a possibility of an intranasal tumor.

I must admit he seems more energetic in the last few days but my joy is guarded .

Anyways, I thought you would like to know the status of my boy. Thanks for listening.

Glad to hear he seems to be doing better....I surely hope that the crusty nose does not worsen and that there is nothing majorly wrong with your boy. Please continue to keep us posted......good luck.
