heartworm testing

my dog had her heartworm testing done today, hopefully its negative.

takes a lot of work to get the little dog under control.

Just a bit information i asked while i was at the vets today, if any one needs these info:

Heartworm:
- Transmited by misquotes, takes some time for the transmition to begin (it doesn not start from the start of the misquot season).
- dogs who have heartworms will not be tested positive unless the heartworm reaches adult age (6 month to grow), and may live up to 6 years or more.
- heartworm will not show any symstoms unless theres enough to block the vessels in the heart and sometimes some can go in the lung.
- heartworm treatment kills the worms over a period of times, the risk is that if you kill the worm too fast, the died worms can end up in places blocking vessels or cause other problems.

Anal sacs
-when anal sacs are full, you can feel them from the outside (sides of the anal opening). They feel like little rocks (that is on a my dog, a chihuahua).
-In small dog, theres a risk of empting them from inside, the finger might damage her since its soo small.
