bleeding gums
just making sure...is it common to see visible blood on my puppie's gums? he's five months, and he's still got puppy teeth. on some of his toys that he plays tug with, there will be a tiny bit of blood too.

ok, good, his gums look a little puffy too... the problem with this whole teething thing is that he hates kongs...can you believe that? he has two, one is in the freezer now with some pb in it. i'm gonna try freezing it to see if he'll like it then, but he usually never touches the thing. all he really chews on is my underwear, and his nylabones and he actually eats the nylabones. what's the best thing for a teething pup...something that he'll actually like too.

I've noticed if some dogs/puppies don't chew very often (toys and bones of course) their gums tend to bleed a bit.
Nothing to worry about! Just saw your new post. You can try soaking a rope toy in hot water and then freeze it. Puppies love um ![]() |
