I am so very sorry, we have been through this, it's not easy. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your sweet girl, our boxer Dylan was 7yrs when he was diagnosed. I'll tell my babies right now we have a boxer friend that needs our prayers. ( theyre awfully good that way)

Well, we've made it through the surgery and Alley is waking up slowly on the couch. (I never leave them at the vet, I take them in, hold their paw through surgery, and then take them home.)

Here is her new scar.


We should have prelim results tomorrow, and then can decide if we need to do further tests or any sort of medication.

Well, Al is up and about, if just a little bit unsteady. She's whining an awful lot, which she's never done before, but if I remember, that's a side effect of the anesthetic, right?!
I'm trying to keep her quiet, which, if I could convince the other two yahoos that she's fine and doesn't want to play, I'd succeed.
Poor little girl, she's such a trooper. I'll let you all know what the results say. I hope they come back early in the AM or the vet may get annoyed with me, she's on speed dial and I'm going to have a hard time waiting...

One of my dogs whined a lot after being put under, when I called the vet they said it was normal, makes you feel so bad for them though. I am so sorry to hear about this Novel, it is really sad that a young pup like that has to go through this. I will be keeping you guys in my thoughts and hope all goes as well as possible.

Your post prompted me to call my own vet. Neva has a bump like that on her inner thigh of her back leg, it looks about identical and she is in the age group to start developing this type of problem. Thanks for bringing to light how serious this may be for us as well.
