Fever?!?
I went to church this morning like any usual Sunday morning, and then when I got back I got my puppy out of his crate for a walk....He was fine. But then my sister just got him out of his crate(it was about half an hour ago that I put him back in his crate) and he is abnormaly hot. Can dogs get fevers? He is acting normal but he is just so hot! What is going on?

I think you should be prepared to take him to an emergency vet ASAP. It could be parvo. Let us know...Is he acting sick....like draggy, like he feels crummy? Yes, dogs get fevers.

If the pup is running a temp ( hot to the touch ) has loose stool and is vomitting then it needs to be seen by a veterinarian.

Thank You for all the help! Right after I last posted I took him outside and he was acting all normal again
so then after that i brought him back in and he was still fine! So, I kept a close eye on him for a while and he seems to be fine I think he had just eaten something that did not agree with him..... Sorry to get everyone worried, but I am soooooooo happy that he is better![]() |

You don't know if he's better or not.
Take him to the vet, only then can you say for certain that he's ok. Cass. |

How long has it been now, since he vomitted or had diarrhea? Is he as exuberant as always? What about the fever? That, if he has one, is a sign of something not right....an infection or virus or something. Sometimes with illnesses, as you know, we start to think we're better, but then it relapses. If this were to be parvo, you can't wait around to find out. It kills puppies too fast. That's the thing I think we're worried about.

I think your pup needs to be seen by a vet. There may be something going on that only a vet can know. Dogs, I find, can mask their problems well and by the time they really are feeling bad , it could be too late. Take Carrie's advice, it might just be lifesaving.
