Ok I dont know what sort of cancer it is... So the vet is saying he isnt in pain and doberkim you say he would be???
If there is any chance at all that he is suffering then I want to tell my friend NOW... She would never want him to be in pain. Do all cancers cause pain?? this one has come up rather abruptly and has grown huge in a matter of weeks?? |

i have no idea what kind of tumor it actually is - however, when you say bone tumor the first that comes to mind is osteosarcoma - and yes, it will most likley become very painful. however, i dont know for sure what it is - if you can find out what it actually is, i can give a more educated opinion. all cancers do not cause pain, but as a generalization, almost all BONE cancers will cause pain i believe. |

I spoke with her today and she has spoken to the specialist vet I use and he feels that Nugget will live for normal length of time if he has amputation and that he will adapt very quickly.
I approached her from the point of view that if its non quality time he would be better at rest but she believes he will have quality time. Will keep you posted as to his progress |

Well, as long as his heart is going to hold out for a reasonable amount of time... and be OK with the surgery, it sounds good. Keep us posted. I do wish the very best to him and his owner.
