Serious Question

So, my very first post to this site was when my 13 week old puppy, Mia was killed. I just have so many questions still left un answered and I'm still extreemly depressed. My now Ex boyfriend was the only one in the room when it happend so I assumed he did something to her. So here is my question: The vet told me that there is no way that she could have ran into a table and broken her neck. He said that he steped on her on accident that she limped away and then he picked her up from under the glass table and then she hit her head on the glass. Could that have killed her? Do you think it was instant? He said she wasn't dead when he handed her to me but she definatly wasn't concious. He said she died while he was giving her CPR. I hope she didnt suffer. The vet said she would have died instantly and felt no pain. I guess I'd rather hear that.

I'd say he probably killed her when he stepped on her. I'm so sorry you lost her like that. I'd believe the vet though, it's highly likely it was instant. No suffering.
I'm glad he's an EX boyfriend now. I think I would have clawed his eyes out if he'd done that to my little guy....accident or no.

Have you thought about getting another pup? Sometimes getting another pup can help you find peace in the loss of your last. Not something to rush into if you don't feel you're ready, but just thought I'd mention it.

My deepest sympathy goes out to you. Make sure you don't dwell on her death, but rather remember what a wonderful time you had with her while she was alive.

Cass.

I'm so sorry for your loss, losing a loved one is never easy especially when it happens like that.
You have to allow ourself time to grieve, dear, through the pain and tears we reach a level of acceptance and then remember the good times. I speak from experience and truly feel your pain, I'm sending you a *HUG*, please take care.

I'm so very sorry. I'd have to agree with the others that this wasn't an accident.

I'll have to agree with Cassiepeia. I'm glad he's an EX now. Any person that could do that to a small, helpless dog could do it to a human.

Hang in there. I think your puppy DID NOT suffer, but I do think it was not an accident. I am glad you are not dating that guy anymore.

I too would think about getting a new puppy. When our beloved Alexi died last winter we only waited 5 days before getting Jasmine. Our house was just too quite.

When you do get a new puppy, be sure to get a crate as well. That way you can crate the puppy when you are not in the room, and you will know it is safe. I am sooo sorry you had to go through this.

Hope you can heal and go on to find another fur-baby to share your life with.

I have Rauligh still and I'm just super spoiling him because I'm sure he's upset with losing his little sister. We go for rides all the time and we go to my aunts. She has a Beagle named Lilly and they love to play togeather. I don 't know if I'll get another puppy for a while. It's a lot of work and money. I don't want to compare the new pup to Mia either or make Rauligh upset. I don't think he would be upset though because he loves to play with every dog we walk by. =o)

A-h-h Kelly, I'm so very sorry for your loss. But glad that guy is your EX now. I urge you with everything I've got to keep it that way. Something sure didn't smell right the instant I started reading your post. This guy did that to your pup, I'm sure and it's likely he'll do something like that to a woman some day, very possible. Be safe and enjoy your other dog. Maybe one day....later on you'll want another puppy. Like it was said, look toward happier times and remember Mia didn't feel pain if her neck was broken. She's playing at Rainbow Bridge with our past dogs and she's just fine. You take care now...of yourself.

I am so sorry for your loss. I know what it is like to lose a dog since I just lost my beloved Theo who I had my whole life. It is very painful and hard! But just know that she was not in pain.
