Soft dog frisbee

Can anyone tell me if a very soft frisbee for playing with your dog is important? Do normal frisbees hurt your dog's teeth?

I got a Soft Bite because a regular Frisbee would have knocked my Yorkie's teeth out! How big and how old is your dog?

I have soft rubber and fabric frisbees for my dachshunds but my old german shorthair played with regular hard plastic frisbees. He could open his mouth wider to bite down on the frisbee.

I use a soft frisbee with Lucy. She just chewed and destroyed the hard ones, and she wasn't quite as into the hard ones. Lucy's a beagle.
