Can I go buy one of those labradoodles that offers the shedding of a lab with the stubbornness of a poodle and sue that lady??

Well, thats' better than most of the hybred coverage I've seen BUT I wish someone would actually ask those "doodle" breeders how responsible they are: are their breeding stock proven champions? are her litters first or second generation doodles? what health clearnances do those dogs have? what kind of health guarantee does she provide? Does she take them back if they do shed? Why breed two breeds that tend to be plagued with the same health problems etc etc. She's basically bragging that she ships her dogs huge distances away to owners she's never met

Her "doodles " look a heck of a lot like poodles or even portugese water dogs to me.. Most of the ones we see around here have shaggy hair but it's not so curly. Someone needs to do a story that exposes these so called breeders for the mills they are.

She's just a big time BYB that's only in it for the money. Too many people are jumping on the designer band-wagon and we need more TV hosts to let the public know this.

I agree, the lady is a moron. But I still like the guy who did the story. He said that he had a lot of "breeders" flaming him for doing that story, so he must be doing something right! lol
But I was so glad to see him talking about the shelters and about all of the mixed breed dogs they get in there. And I loved it when he said something like, "because a designer dog is just another name for a mutt." Loved it!

What a great story! I especially loved the "Designer Breed" names that they gave the shelter dogs! I e-mailed that station and let them know that I thought it was wonderful report, and was glad that they brought attention to the growing population in shelters and rescues. I think more news stations should do this type of thing. In fact, my local news does adoption Fridays where they showcase a dog and cat from local shelters that need homes. It's my favorite part of the news on Fridays!

that is a great report, he made a humerous but exact point. Maybe when u start with a little ironiy people listen better.
Send the staion an email, that that was a good start and they should keep it up....
