Isn't Pam Anderson a HUGE animal rights activist, to the extent that even PETA recently honored her? Not to mention a bunch of other celebrities who have donw a ton for the humane rescue movement in the past. Heck even Bob Barker has made his own contribution...

Paris just makes me want to gag. I mean good Lord, think she has enough animals that she doesn't take care of allready? I don't flippen care how rich you are, if you have so many animals that you can't take care of them all by yourself and spend quality time with them, then you shouldn't own one.

And her poor Ferrets!!! She has Ferrets? What did she do to the poor thing? Stuff it is a pink sweater and carry it around and then just throw it away because it stunk and its claws scratched her? Or did she de-claw it? Oh.....I'm mad now..... *takes a picture of Paris and pounds it into oblivion, then burns it*
I'm suprised she doesn't think they are stinky evil little rats. But oh wait, they are small and you can put a sweater on them, so she just had to get one...

Sadly, the people who realise what a wart on society she is aren't in the age group that make up the majority of her fan base. She appeals to young teenage girls (which is sickening really) and they won't have a bad word said against her, let alone ignore her.

Its very sad to see such young people that can really make a diffrence in this world that have money and waist it. They use everything in their lives a dispoable. Im not talking about all. I just know if I had the money these people do I would do a heck of a lot more then make silly TV shows. They could make a diffrence big time in animals and peoples lives.

I'll tell you what, House of Wax is a must see, if you would like to see Paris in a great roll! Just ordered it last night and didn't notice Paris was in it until I started watching it (almost said forget the PPV charge and shut it off!), but it was worth it

Mulroony's right, just because Ashley Olsen adopted a shelter dog(which is great), why is she voted 2nd? There are lots of celebrities who do more daily to help animals than just adopting one.

As for Paris, she does seem to be lacking something. A brain for one thing.

Sounds like just another opportunity to bash her. I'm not sure why there's always so much venom and hatred spewed toward her. I'm not into the stick thin look and I'm not really a fan of hers, but I just don't understand hating someone you know next to nothing about. I saw some of that show "Simple Life" she seemed clueless, but at least was nice to everyone. A lot of the townspeople went out of their way to be rude to her.

I think it's the image we hate not the actual person (can't hate someone you've never met, after all). Even if she never wanted to be a role model, she is one. And IMO she's one of the worst. I hate that girls now days are being told it's ok to be dumb, superficial and look like a....well, I can't say it on this family friendly forum but I think everyone knows what I mean.
After all, haven't women fought long and hard against that kind of image? *sigh* Her sister is a better role model. Even with the bucks she's got because of her family, she's worked her backside off to make her own way in the world (which didn't include just strutting around half naked and pretending to be a moron).

Hmm.... didn't realise until I'd finished typing that, just how angry she makes me. Paris, I mean. LOL

Cass.

I guess the whole "role model" thing is what irritates me. I don't think its celebrities' jobs to raise our kids. In fact, if you see something on TV that you object to that's a perfect opportunity to talk about it. I don't expect every star to be a goodie two shoes.

I agree with Gooch. I can understand where parents might have a hard time talking about the birds and the bees, but why it is not ok to be like a lot of celebrities shouldn't be difficult (said never having kids ofcourse).

Or you could just watch South Park (I know more smut, but at least they make a point) and see what are the current trends and just how stupid they are. They actually had an episode about Paris Hilton, she is so drugged out she buys a boy in a dog costume thinking it is a dog. Then they show a long line of dogs that did not make it, and how horrible of a dog owner she is. Got to admit the rest of the episode not so PG-13, but funny

...And some celebs are made into characters by the media. Here in Cincy Ken Griffey Jr. (the baseball player for you non-sports fans) has been portrayed as a jerk and someone who doesn't care about the fans. He grew up here and I have met him once and have friends who know him personally. The truth is he is painfully shy. That's why he's not the first to volunteer for autograph sessions and meet the fans type of stuff. He just wants to play baseball then go home. The radio hosts around here know that, but its more fun to villify him.

Me and all my friends, HATE Paris Hilton, she is a joke. She has money, so what? lol that means nothing, unless you do something good with it (like Oprah haha). I would vote for Linda Blair for number one on the best pet owner, rather than Joss Stone. She is a big animals rights advocate. A couple people I work with do foster care and they go to all the shelter things around here, and she is at most of them. They say she is really nice too.
