I personally would never be able to trust the dogs again.
I don't know the reasoning and as many of you have stated over the internet it is all but impossible to know what fully happened. All I do know for sure is that I expect a more even temperament out of my dogs. No matte what the situation.
We have 5 dogs here so you can imagine there is some tripping going on and heaven forbid we land on a dog or run into a dog mid step however it does happen and the worst you will here is a small grrr followed up by a ton of forgiving kisses.
Temperament is everything and I am afraid after something like that temperament would be an ISSUE.

Ididnt read everyone's posts but did read this one:
Quote:
if either one of my dogs that i have now attacked me or showed aggression toward me or another person without a daggone good reason, i'd take them to the vet, have them fully checked over including complete thyroid panel, and if there was no good medical reason for it, have them humanely euthanized. i will not own a pit bull who is aggressive toward humans. will not. it is completely counter to what the breed is all about, and i refuse to allow my dogs to fuel further breed specific legislation.
I totally agree. I would do the same thing. Though if the dog was provoked, that is a TOTALLY different story.

I wouldnt tolerate Human aggression from ANY dog no matter WHAT the breed was. Dogs with human aggression are just a big risk in my opinion.

Dog aggression is a totally different thing though. I think if you know how to handle your dog with dog aggression than the dog shouldnt be put down (I have an APBT with BIG TIME dog aggression and I took the precautionary steps to make sure he wouldnt be put in a situation where he would be hurt or he would hurt other dogs, he lives in our indoor.outdoor kennels and is very happy and content out there).

I would want my dog back if they were provoked. If they werent than it would depend on if they had any medical conditions or not that might give me a reason why they attacked.

nope absolutely not. If my dogs attacked me (or anyone for that matter) like that they would be put down immediately.
