Your dog could be one paw closer to fame! The DeSoto Family Theatre is holding dog auditions for the role of "Sandy" in DFT's production of Annie.

Dogs of any size and breed are invited to audition, sandy is the preferred color. Dog owners can see if their trusty friend is ready for the stage by registering at auditions on Saturday, September 30, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. at DeSoto Civic Center, I-55 and Church Road, in Southaven.

Dogs may also be photographed with "Annie" for only $3.00. All proceeds will be donated to the DeSoto Animal Rescue Society (D.A.R.S.) and donations are welcomed to support the work of D.A.R.S. Prizes will be awarded to all finalists. Of the four dogs selected for finals, two dogs will be cast for the stage role of "Sandy". Dogs will be tested for obedience and friendliness.
