I've heard this song before, but never really listened to it and took in the meaning of the lyrics until now. It's seriously almost as though this song was purposely written for misunderstood breeds like pit bulls, rottweilers, dobbies, GSD's, and for any aggressive dog in general.

They need and want us to help and love them. They don't deserve to be kept imprisoned for what the human race has made of them and done to them. They need somebody to take a stance, have some faith, catch them from falling onto that euthanasia table and take them in and let them know that they're worth saving, and let the ignorant public know it as well. They need to be taught whats wrong and whats right. And once you do, they'll show you and everybody else what good dogs they can be and they'll put that past behind them. They'll forget the neglect, abuse and mistreatment that was bestowed upon them.

And just as a side note, I'm not recommending anybody to go out and get an aggressive dog and try to rehabilitate it....That requires special handling from people who know what they're doing. For those us who do that kind of work, power to you and good job! For those who know it's not something they could handle, you can still help by just having faith in those dogs and the trainers who work with them.

I LOVE that song (I love just about any song from Nickelback), and I too, never thought about the lyrics, but it really does sound like a song meant for the dogs kept behind bars.

I love Nickelback.. Their songs have so much meaning to them, though often it's overlooked. "Someday" is also a good song for the misunderstood breeds.. This song is featured in this pitbull video, which has been posted on GP a few times, I believe..
