Purebreds Passé? Designer Dogs Woo Pet Owners

Someone had posted a few months ago that Boxer/GSD seems to be becoming more "trendy". I have a rescue GSD/Boxer, and I actually groaned out loud-I cannot stand the thought of people thinking I got my Sophie because she was trendy!
I haven't personally met any GSD/Boxer mixes, and have not found anything on the internet yet, hopefully it will stay this way....

Their all cute, pups of all kinds are adorable....heck, I can't think of one dog that I could honestly look at and say I didn't like no matter if they were pure bred or of mixed heritage.

WOW! People really fall for that Hypo-allergenic crap don't they.

Seems like alot of people don't understand there their is no such thing as a hypo-allergenic dog. Most people who are allergic to dogs are allergic to the saliva or dander not the fur that sheds. Hypo-allergenic is just a ploy used to sell the dogs.

Also I don't think people get that just because a dog is crossed with a poodle does not nessessarily mean it's not going to shed!

Yep, that's what annoys me when I have a breed that has that coat and I tell people that they have to come to my house to ensure that they are not allergic to it! Let's face it Labradoodle's etc. are more than likely to have the coat that does moult unless it is a line a few generations down the line. From what I heard the person who originally did this mix who wanted to have a good breed now doesn't do it because of the health problems and the type of people who started crossing them!

All the crap that they spout about them being healthier too. How can two breeds that have numerous health problems turn out healthier pups, more than likely some of the pups will end up with the same problems that their non-health tested parents have?????
