A woman angry that her new puppy had died pushed her way into a dog breeder's home and repeatedly hit her on the head with the dead Chihuahua, authorities said.

The 33-year-old woman told police she had taken the puppy to a veterinarian, who said it was only 4 weeks old and needed to be returned to its mother. But before she could return the puppy, it died.

Early Wednesday, the woman went to the breeder's home, pushed her way inside and began fighting with the breeder as she tried to make her way to the basement to get another puppy, police said.

The breeder wrestled the woman out of her house to the front porch, where the woman then hit the breeder over the head numerous times with the dead puppy, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reported, citing police.

As the woman drove away, she waved the dead puppy out of the car's sunroof and yelled threats at the breeder, police said. She later called the breeder and threatened her and her family, according to court records.

Police said they are considering felony burglary charges and misdemeanor assault charges.

And she kept those poor puppies in the basement? Thats horrible. The byb should be fined.

But obviously the lady could care less, since all she wanted to do at the breeder's house is go get another puppy. She wasn't educated herself.

If I remember right - the lady was charged with assault and the "breeder" is still happily selling underage puppies to the unexpecting or uneducated.

That is messed up. The lady was nuts and should not be allowed to own a dog. The breeder is irresponsible and should not be allowed to own a dog -- let alone breed them.

Yeah, it's kind of amusing in one way, until you think about it. lol

Poor pup, poor dogs, poor unsuspecting uneducated buyers. The person in the most wrong here is the breeder IMO. Although the other woman needs some sort of anger management therapy I think. Weird.

That's so sick, and it shows no respect for the poor dead pup! I think we would all agree that both the owner and breeder are in the wrong

well the breeder should be jailed and the person that bought the pup should never have been allowed to own a dog. Anyone can tell if a pup is only 4 weeks old

I could never have used that poor dead baby to attack the woman but I could have attacked her for her breeding practices,,, preferably with something more solid that a poor dead puppy.. Its just another example of disgusting human misbehaviour :>(

Well, I had a reply typed out, but Puppy jumpped up on here and deleted it, so I'll just say my first part:
The whole affair is just sick. You would think that a person would put two and two together (four week old puppy + bad breeder = not so healthy (in this case dead) puppy), but nope, she just went right back to get another one.
