Letting your dog watch TV - Page 2

We've got a surround sound system and it drives Bimmer nuts sometimes!

That's exactly what he does, with those huge radar ears pivoting in different directions. When we tell him it was just the TV he looks at us and raises one eyebrow, scans the room one more time, then huffs and lays back down.

LOL!! How funny all of these stories are! Jinx watches the television sometimes, he barks almost everytime if he hears dogs barking on tv. I have never left the tv on for him while I've been gone, but I do leave the radio on sometimes if I'm going out. Jinx usually comes with me wherever I go so I don't think about this much.

Since she was a puppy, the Weather Channel...because that's usually what's on when we're home during the day. She cocks her head if we say "local on the eights".

I'm sure dogs can see the TV cause if I'm watching a show with animals and no noise (sometimes I shut volume off and play on puter) they go up and start watching the animals...They all listen especially if I have volume on and a dog is barking, a knock or door bell or something.

I usually leave it on animal stations or cartoons, Tiva seems to like watching cartoons

Well since Mias come home I've notice her looking toward the TV when the sound catches her attention...She sleeps in Lyndsays room and seems to sleep bettter in there than in the Den.. Its much quieter in there at night..
