US News, Idaho - Snow makes it easy to hop fences and dogs get to roam in Post Falls
I just had to giggle at this story, I can just see all the dogs eyes light up once they walk over the fence and go pee till their heart's content.
![]() I'm sure it's very frustrating for Animal Control and for those dogs that cannot figure how to get back home, it can be dangerous and even lethal, but I just had to giggle a bit, as that would have been one of Montana's dreams come true ![]() Coeur d'Alene Press Newspaper - Local and National News - Kootenai County, Idaho : Big snow means no fences for dogs Quote:

It can be dangerous, but I don't see any seasoned dog owner really having any problems. It's probably all the people either new to snow or new to dogs that are having problems. I used to live 1.5 hrs from Post Falls and they are used to getting snow by the foot.
So how do you potty your dog with 10 foot snow drifts anyways? I've always wondered about that. Coeur d'Alene Press Newspaper - Local and National News - Kootenai County, Idaho : Snow anyone? Quote:

Snow shovelin a path would probably be good. We've never had that much snow, and honestly, I can do without lol. I think another danger would be snow falling off of higher areas. A friend of my moms, actually had a dog get crushed by a large amount of snow & ice that fell off her roof.
