Showdog Moms and Dads

I've only seen a tiny bit of "Showdog Moms and Dads, but not enough to form a full opinion of it yet. From what I've heard, the people featured make the characters in "Best in Show" (which I loved) pretty tame- and this is driving several members of the show world crazy. Although I definitely understand that such silliness would help garner ratings, I'd like to know what others who have seen more than I have think.

Has anyone seen a couple episodes of it? What are your opinions on it?

I think they went through all the show people who thought that might want to be featured and picked out most of the wacked out members and a few "normal" ones. lol

LOL! This is what I've heard from most everyone who has seen the show...makes you wish they would contrast them with at least one or two successful exhibitors that were also somewhat level headed.

By the way, I love the picture in your signature as well as your avatar- those tongues! Very good looking bullies- and obviously very joyful.

Thanks Tempura

A few accomplished exibitors maybe who treat their dogs more like dogs instead of little people in furry coats who are allowed to do what ever they feel like? lol I was amazed by some of the things I saw on that show. lol I'll watch again just for giggles though

LOL! I think these people are the most eccentric dog people I have ever seen!!!! The only normal one is the Aussie lady. I find it insulting that alot of people who don't know about the show world are going to think this is how we all are
But I watch it because it's so funny! Next week the guys with the Toy Fox Terrier take it into the ring only to have it attack the judge! This will be interesting By the way I love the movie Best In Show. It's one of my favorites.

Yeah- I definitely have a feeling that more and more people are going to look at me as if I should be somewhere with padded walls when I tell them I show dogs. The parts I have seen were definitely funny, but it irks me that people really are going to get the idea that this is what we are all like. I agree Crossfire, it would definitely be nice to see some people on the show that refrained from treating their dogs like little people.

We have a magnetic sticker on the back of our vehicle that sais:

Show Dogs

Keep Back

Because we keep our crates in the very back of the vehicle and it makes me nervous when people tailgate us.
Now I'm waiting for the strange looks from other drivers. They'll probably be thinking "There are some of those crazy dog show peole, stay away!" lol!

Ohhhhh lord! Last night's episode was something else! I know one thing for sure; that "judge" who bad mouthed the other judge for not putting up his dog in my opinion is an arse. I'd love to get his last name just so I can keep it in my little book of who not to waste my entry fee on! The guy is a total jerk! I don't care how good you think your own dogs are, as a judge or even someone showing in the ring publically displaying that kind of unsportsman like conduct should be suspended. jmo

As for the rest of what I saw.... ROFLMAO!!!!!! WHERE did they find these poeple?!?
