Dog's disguise fails

A teenager who dyed his dog after using it as a "dangerous weapon" during a robbery failed to fool police who found photos of the dog in its original colours.

Ramon Thomas, 18, dyed his black-and-white Staffordshire bull terrier brown, but pictures showing its original colours were found at his home, Inner London Crown Court was told.

The teenager, of Brixton, south London, was found guilty at an earlier hearing of boarding a train with three accomplices and his dog Muttley, menacing a 16-year-old with the dog, and robbing the victim of his mobile phone and 50 pence ($A1.28) during a train journey in March 2003.

For the offence of robbery he sentenced the teenager to 18 months in a young offenders' institution but told him he would only serve half the term with the remainder suspended.

The court was told a few days after the robbery that Thomas attacked another dog owner when their pets began fighting and he was later convicted of actual bodily harm.

The dog has since been taken away from the defendant and will be rehoused.

Wow, he certainly went through a lot of effort to try to get away. Maybe he should of dyed his hair instead.

that just reminds me of my uncles dog. Its a yellow lab, and while my uncle was building his house he was using blue grout for something. so in the basement he had a huge tub of blue powder (later to be mixed with water and used) well the dog was playing and got into it, by got into it I reallt mean stuck his whole head in the bucket. So heres a yellow lab with a blue head.
