"We Swam in and We Will Swim Out"

A great story about a group of rescuers saving three Dobe's that were caught in Katrina's path. It scares me a bit that they swam through the waters there, but is also inspiring that there are people out there rescuing those animals that are stranded and helpless.

I'm afraid I would not be so brave, but I'm glad there are people who are. But then, when you are there and on a mission to find animals you know are in the house and need help, it would make it easier to be brave.

That is amazing.
-nods- Alot of people sya that they wouldn't be brave enough to do that. but when something like this happens, I don't know what it is.. but no matter what, who, or where, the animals will be saved, in my mind anyway. I was in a situation with a fire, in my own house, which first thing I did was get my bird and dog outside. then I told the rest of the people in the building to get out, but they came first. I don't care if that sounds cruel or not, they are first in my life, so.. and another time the shelter I used to work for was on fire, and the firemen told us to stay out, but I ran back in a number of times to make sure everyone would be okay.
I really want to go down and be a part of the rescue squad, but there is no way that I can do that right now =\

That's a wonderful story. Thanks for sharing. Those dogs sure do look greatful. What wonderful, brave people!
