Those are so cool... I haven't seen anything besides a 'doggy day care' around here...

We have it all. Doggy Daycare, pet spas and everything. There are even doggy bakeries where you can buy your pooch some fresh baked treats. It's cute. The best thing Bailey gets is a walk thru PetsMart every few weeks. I don't think I will be taking her to a spa anytime soon.

LOL Barrett, I know.. Ripley gets a massage every night or so at home, I actually don't think he'd LET a doggy therapist work their hands all over him.

What I want around here is one of those doggie diners, where you can order something for your dog as well.. I like to go places with my friend & her Chihuahuas, and it'd be so fun to be able to go out to eat without having to leave the dogs at home.

That would be fun. It would be great to be able to take our pooches into a resturant or store. When Bailey was younger I used to take her everywhere with me including the grocery store. I would put her in a special backpack and no one would even know she was there. One day a lady bumped into me and Bailey barked and growled and scared the lady, and me too. I had my husband run her out to the car and sit with her until the shopping was done. The lady was mad, and I guess I would be too if I was her. You don't expect to be barked and growled at by a dog in a store, it is scarey. I tried to bring Bailey into a store one other time and she did the same thing. We never tried it again. I guess Bailey is protective now and she didn't like people getting too close to me. It bothered me that she barked so I don't take her with me anymore. I thought I was socializing Bailey by taking her with me in the stores but I now realize that isn't the best way to do it. It's better to stay outside of busy stores where people will come in and out and be more willing to stop and play with Bailey. It's easier on Bailey when she is on the ground and can control who comes up to pet her or come near me.

Ripley still goes places with me. I have this little front-pack carrier that I wear and put him in, but now he's very noticable with those monster ears..

He used to growl at people who wanted to pet him in stores, but he got some good corrections for that. My rule for the front-pack is that he CAN NOT bark, growl or whine, and he knows that now...

But it would be nice to be able to take them more places... I think I heard that if a dog earns their CGC they are actually entitled to go in public places... Not sure of that though.

Cozy goes almost everywhere with us. She flies in the airplane cabin with us. Most places she is welcome. We travel alot and try to eat at restaurants that have outdoor dining, but sometimes I have to sneak her inside in my big dog purse.
Unfortunatley the CGC doesn't earn a dog anything other than appreciation from people and other dog owners.
Kit
