14 dogs shot and killed in New Orleans!!

Five dogs were shot and killed yesterday in New Orleans and you won't believe who is responsible for it, the POLICE! A couple had left there six dogs in Saint Bernard Parish in a school after they had fled from the Hurricane they had left food and water for them and when they returned 5 of the six dogs were shot and killed. They also found 14 dogs shot and killed in another school!

There are just some cops that should never have a badge or a handgun.
COWARDS!!!

I'd like to know the circumstances surrounding the shooting. Surely they had a reason for doing this (whether it be good or bad).
Is there anymore information on this incident?

I thought the 14 dogs being shot was under investigation because they really do not know who did it. The sheriff turned it over to the state police for investigating just in case it was one of his deputies but he could not imagine that being the case. Whoever it was if it is found to be the police there will be consequences. It is a horrible act and as the sheriff stated it is unconscienceable.

The problem is that thousands of animals were left behind because VERY few shelters allowed pets. The owners could either stay behind or leave them and hope the best. I know nothing about this incident, but I can see where they would be justified and I can see where they would over react. This hurricane has brought out the best and worst in humanity.
