WOW i can't believe what people are doing!

People are actually coloring their dogs' fur to look like pandas!
This is a maltese / poodle cross...

This looks like a chow chow?

wow

I actually met one of the "panda chows" awhile back at a show. She wasn't dyed, she actually was a standard cream chow with black markings. I didn't get to talk to her owner much because the chow was extremely dog-aggressive (idiot owners, bringing a dog-aggressive dog to a show!) and didn't get to find out where they got her... I'm curious as to who is breeding dogs like that.

As for the maltese/poodle.. It really does look like that dog was dyed around its eyes, but its legs might not be.

unbelievable. I will give kudos to my sister...not to steal this thread...she was delivering flowers to a woman yesterday and the lady asked her "Do you know anyone with a Pug?"

sis: No, why?
lady:Well, my daughter has a Beagle, and we wanted pups.
sis: Why?
lady: Well, we like the personality of the Beagle, and the look of the Pug.
sis: Do you understand that there is no guarantee what you'll get? Is the Beagle healthy enough to breed? (she went on and on, raking this woman over the coals about everything we discuss here)
lady: Oh. I didn't realize that...but don't people do it all the time anymore?
Sis: yeah, for the money. They are taking advantage of people, and the poor dog suffers in the end. If you want something like that, go to the shelter.
lady: Oh. Well, ok.

End of story. But it's people like her and the ones breeding these "panda" types that drive me crazy!!

No, it's not. I saw this on tv last week. The dog is white or cream or whatever, and all the black markings are dyed.

I saw this on CNN, it was in China to pay tribute to the panda's or one that was just born. I think it's pretty funny and cute the owner had rescued the dog from a shelter. People can be crazy
