Picture and update on my foster girl

Tilly's been with us for about 1 1/2 months now and doing great. She's fitting in with her new surroundings very well and we've all fallen in love with her. Surprisingly my husband is the one attached to her the most. We've had many a conversation in wanting to keep Tilly but we're not sure if that is best for her. I think the main factor is the vet cost of an extra animal. The good thing about fostering is that we are in charge in choosing the perfect home for Tilly. And the perfect home would be one that is better suited for her then ours. I've gone through a few applications but they weren't right for her. Not that they wouldn't be great owners just not the right ones for Tilly. Who knows, she may end up staying here with us because I can't see myself letting her go. I have a great mentor through the rescue group Tilly belongs to that is helping me out and is a God sent.

Here she is with some toys that she deemed hers. It's too cute, she'll take out all the toys from the toy basket and lays down around the pile that she made. She's even sleeping on some of them in this picture and notice the two front paws covering the stuffies. "lol"

Shoot, made a mistake in title. It should read "Picture and update on my foster girl". Is it possible for someone to fix it?

She is adorable!! I'm so glad you got to foster her. I wouldn't be able to give her up. I would be in trouble if I started fostering....I'd keep them all! LOL!! I think you can fix it by hitting the edit button on the top right corner of your original post.

Just tried it and it didn't fix it....or it did but just over my post. Thank you though!

And yes you are right it is very difficult to give them up. She's my first foster and I have much appreciation too all the people who's been fostering for a while. It is a very tuff and heartbreaking job. I just can’t seem to get my mind set that she’s a foster and not ours. It’s very difficult!

Tilly is just too cute! Thats adorable how she has her paws over the stuffies. What a little "mama" putting them all in a pile and keeping them warm and cozy!

I hope you find her the perfect home. If you start keeping your fosters, you wont have room to take care of any. It isn't easy giving them up. Why have you had her so long now? Generally we don't like to see them fostered any more than two weeks unless they have some serious medical problems. It's just too hard on them to get used to one home and then go to another.

Aw, thank you Sonja!

calgal -Tilly is my first foster so I'm not sure what is considered a long stay. I did speak to another foster mom who's had her dog for about 5 months so I didn't think mine was here that long. I know that the rescue I'm with is quite particular on where the dogs go. Tilly still needs alot of supervision when it comes to potty issues. She's doing great here but I'm with her all day and if I'm at the shop she comes with me. The applicants that I've interviewed weren't as keen about her potty issues and seemed hesitant. Tilly's a very sweet, special dog with some issues and her new home needs to be willing to work with it. I’m also her second foster home, her first one had a difficult time with her pee problem too.

Aw Tilly certainly deserves a great home, i bet you will find it so hard to let her go when you find the right family for her. She is a very bonny looking girl and her colour is lovely. I love the name Tilly too. lol so i guess i like her

I have a soft spot in my heart for poodles. They're just so beautiful looking!

I forsee myself in the very distant future with my shih tzu, poodle and yorkie hahaha.

I wouldn't be able to foster. I'd want them all. It breaks my heart to see them in the pound, so fostering is so much better of an idea, but oh my, what a hard time I'd have letting them go!
