One of my fosters died Saturday!

When I got Gabriel he was almost dead. He couldn't walk and had very little hair. The Vet. did not know for certain how old he was, but his best guess was 4 or 5 years. He came from a puppy mill. I carried him in a pouch and sang to him all the time. I fed him home cooked meals, took him outside to play every couple hours to try and strengthen his legs. After 4 months he opened up like a rose. He was going to make it. Finally a wonderful gal adopted him into her little family. She had a little boy Yorkie. Wasn't too long that we both decided that Gabriel looked more like an Australian Terrier than a Yorkie. He kept getting more thicker hair and it only grew to a certain length. Gabriel was one in a million. He touched everyones heart that knew him. He was a very special angel for sure. He died in him mommys arms with his brother sitting beside them. I got this picture today in the mail and thought I'd post it.

Awww! That is soo sad! May he rest in peace! My condolences to you and this little man's family.

What did he die from?? Did they know he was going to die, did they put him down?

He was diagnosed with cancer 15 months ago and given 3 months to live. His mom was so incredible at how she took take of him. Thank you all for your condolences. It's so appreciated and I will pass it on to Gabriel's mom.

That is so sad, but the great part of the story is the life he had at the end! He was loved, had lots of food, and had friends!

He got a second chance, with you and his adopters, he was given a life that some only dream of. RIP
