No more splint for Libby!

The Vet. took it off today and I let her run out in the yard for awhile and she had the best time!

That is great news! Those pics show just how much Libby enjoys being rid of it! Her personality just beams through! Although I have never wanted to have a "little" furpal myself there is something about Libby and I find myself more & more open to the idea someday. I guess you could say I am smitten!

Aww! I love that third pic of her.. the one where she's laying on her back in the grass, getting a belly rub... She looks like she's laughing and having a great time!

She wore herself out in about five minutes. Yes, she seemed to be doing a lot of smiling while doing those zoomies and getting a tickle from mom. She is such a delightful little girl. Next for her is a spay, but will wait till she's six months old first, and also have her chipped while she's under. (two more months) She will continue being in her little fence, but will be put outside about every hour or so to play and potty. She always stays on the sofa with us in the evening and doesn't even try to jump down, yet at least. She will also get to walk around the house with harness and leash on a few minutes several times a day to get used to the leash and the house and also get house trained. She has never failed to use the wee-wee pad while in her pen and now she's doing her potty outside too with tons of praise. She dearly LOVES getting the kisses after a potty, and now even if her back is to me when she goes, she always turns to see if I'm watching. When I say "good potty" Libby, her ears lay back and she flies to me with the bigest smile, for kisses and more praise.
A friend of mine will be here for the week-end with her Yorkie and is adopting another Yorkie from a friend of mine who is fostering him, so there will be 7 pupsters running all over the place. This should be such fun and I know my girls are going to be so happy to have the company. I'll attach a picture of him. She named him Vinny. (was Max) He's just two years old and was an owner turn in because they had six kids and was moving to a place that doesn't accept dogs. I feel sorry for that family and especially the kids who loved him so much. He dearly loves little kids too.

I am in LOVE with her. From the first pictures you ever posted. I think I am coming out for a visit and should she "accidentally" get in my purse when I'm leaving.... . She is such a doll!!! Please give a big hug for me and a congratulations on doing so well with her splint and going potty like a big girl!

Aw, what a sweet little dog! She definitely seems happy to run without it.

My friend just left to go back home to Newport Beach. She didn't adopt Vinnie. When we went over there, her own Yorkie, Rudy, and Vinnie did a terrible growl and tried to get at each other. I sugested they take the dogs out in the back yard. They didn't try to fight, but totally ignored each other. While there, we learned that Vinnie was also almost totally deaf and it must be because of his on going ear infections. So anyway she decided not to adopt because of the behavior issues. When we got to my house, he ran in all happy and totally relaxed. Quite a bit of difference from the other house. He was a real happy boy here and didn't even want to leave. My girls loved playing with him, but he didn't like Libby and would growl at her. He doesn't like puppies because they come on too strong. Anyway, the visit was great and ended all too soon.
