Birthday Boy
Today is River's first birthday - we've (well at least I have) had a terrific day and I've got lots of photos (of course!!)

Started the day with a play at the beach:


Then it was home for a pose in the party hat (he didn't like it very much so there's only the one shot)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIVER! The big one! lol.

He looks like he enjoyed his day! First birthdays always make me emotional, realizing my babies are growing up, and not little anymore!

(Bandi is adorable! Her yard looks very similiar to mine...wading pools, and torn up stuffed animals..etc. )

Can I ask, what was the cake made of? We usually make a bone shaped meatloaf and put candles on that for their birthdays, would love to try something else.

So glad you both had a wonderful day and that River seems to have enjoyed both his cake and his toys ( Die Garfield...Die!).


Oh and just wanted to say that River's coat colour is GORGEOUS!!!! Reminds me of my Irish Setters. I love that beautiful rich red colour.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes guys - have passed them all onto River!!

The cake was made of chicken, rice and a whole heap of vegetables - so it pretty much was meatloaf - they loved it though!!

Poor Garfield has been attacked constantly - I knew he'd love him - he's got a Dorothy that's the same size and I think it makes him feel tough when he "kills" a toy that's bigger than he is!!!
