That all depends....in his home he is very territorial as well as outside of his home. Cattle dogs are naturally suspicious of strangers and aren't one of those wiggle butt happy go lucky breeds. They are very aloof and serious. They are a tough breed and not for the first time dog owner or the type of dog owner who can't give them what they need. For example physical as well as mental stimulation. He is approachable off his territory but would care less about you and if you pet him or not. He would accept a pat on the head and then would just walk away.....LOL! He kind of acts like a snob *wink*

He's really growing up! When I was younger one of my best friends had a cattle dog and every time I went over to her house the dog was always all over me, jumping up and very hyper, trying to get me to play with him! He would grab my hand by the wrist and try and drag me around - it was pretty annoying to be honest. I don't think that dog knew its strength!

he is adorable...what a cute face on him....i owned a catel dog once bought home snakes on his farm that we sent him too he wasnt geting alot of work were i had him he wasnt happy...was geting walks every day but not alot for him....
