Smile A.j., Simetra, and 3 of my sister's cats.

I hope no one is tired of my pictures yet!

I went outside today and saw 5 animals staring at me, so i decided (thanks to the great sunshine today) that i should take some pictures. These are only 3 of my sisters 4 cats, i dont know where Gomer is today.

A.j. last night with one of his new toys.

Simetra teasing A.j. with a ball.

A.j. still wanting to get the ball from Simetra.

My mom walked by so Simetra had to stand there and watch her.

Simetra doing an accidental stack, like always.

Believe it or not, i did not make them pose like that. A.j. decided to lay down and rest for a few minutes and Simetra went over to stand near him.

Itty Bitty coming out of the porch to see what all the noise is about.

Then she spotted me and the camera and decided to be cute for a picture.

Baby under the rake. Those extra shadows are my dad and my sister, they were standing out there talking about our sled that is filled with water and about birdbaths for some reason. Thats my strange family for you...

Smedly close-up.

Smedly getting a suntan.

My sister went in and let Wiener out for about 1 minute, just enough time to get a picture of him, then he ran back inside.

Simetra with a peice of ball.

A herd of smiles and wiggles. (I did pick up that bag, it was out there because it got caught on Wiener's foot as he came out and my sister didnt grab it in time)

As you can see in this picture, Simetra still isnt completely filled out yet. Well, at least compared to A.j.'s fat belly, she is still skinny.

A cute picture of A.j. trotting.

Watching the ball i was holding.

*More coming, i just have to upload them, videos also coming*

Heres more:

Simetra looking worried for some reason.

Tug-o-war with a little piece of ball.

I wish the camera was on video mode when this fight happened, it was so funny. A.j. got to the ball that i threw first, but Simetra ran over and tried to snatch it away, but A.j. was holding on too good, so it ended up as a tug-o-war match, while A.j. was trying to bring it to me like he was trained to do. Simetra wouldnt let go, so A.j. started jumping around and freaking out, but eventually Simetra let go, but then halfway back, A.j. accidentally dropped the ball and Simetra ran and got it. She brought it back, but she doesnt give it to you, she just sits in front of you and plays with it. In the end, i got it, though.

Simetra and A.j. running back to me after A.j. dropped the ball and Simetra snatched it up.

Starting to yawn.

They both wanted to run in the ditch at the same time. Theres a ditch on both sides of our house so that you can plant flowers there, but, obviously, if we did that, they flowers wouldnt last long. Sometimes some come up anyway but then A.j. or Wiener tear them up.

Catfight (playful)

Smedly won.

After losing, Baby ran and hid behind my dad's toolbox, then she heard my brother come out of the studio and it ruined her hiding plan.

Then Smedly decided to nap in the leaves. The leaves that we should have raked up BEFORE winter, but we didnt get to it before it snowed.

The swing that i made a few years ago. Mom doesnt let us swing on it anymore because the tree its on is half dead.

Itty Bitty relaxing on the porch.

A good picture that shows Smedly's handsomeness (if thats a word).

Itty Bitty waiting for food.

Ok, thats all. I have to upload the videos, so it might take a while, i will post them up when they are uploaded.

Thank you!

Sophie was being lazy all day. They only way to get her out of the house anymore is to take her "bye-bye" or if she feels like chasing A.j. around for a while. If you want, and if it is sunny tomarrow, ill get her on a leash, take her out of the house, and get some pictures of her. One of these sunny days im planning on taking all 3 of the big dogs (Wiener bites people) to the football feild a few blocks away and get some pictures and videos of all 3 of them playing.

Beautiful pictures!!! I actually think Simetra''s body weight is perfect right now and she doesnt need any more put on. Of course this may just be the angle of the pictures but if she were my dog I would just maintain the weight she is at now instead of adding more on. Any that does go on should be only muscle. I like to see a nice waist and a good tuck.

Ok! Ive never really known a lot about dog weight. Some people i know say that its best to have a fat dog, but i know for a fact that fat dogs have less energy so i was kind of stuck in an "unsure" mode. I think A.j. has a little bit too much weight, he has a big, fat belly. Thank you!

Yes I can see AJ standing to lose a few pounds It is common here in North America for people to have overweight dogs. To me its just as cruel to have an obese dog as it is to have an emaciated dog. A couple of extra pounds doesnt hurt too much but there are some real heavy guys out there and that just sickens me. How can a dog have any quality of life when he can barely walk around the block? Sorry, was going into a bit of a rant there. Anyways, ya like I said Simetra to me is perfect, and I wouldnt let AJ get any heavier, he could even stand to lose a few. Whoever said its good to have those extra love handles on a dog clearly doesnt work their dog at all. You will see them doing better in their sledding too with those extra pounds off.

This IMO is an ESS at ideal weight

Ok. Yeah, i admit, i have been feeding A.j. more than i should because he likes to eat. I just read a few days ago in my dog book that springers can get overweight easily, so i will make sure to cut down on his food a little bit.

It sickens me too. There used to be a Lab in town that i couldnt stand to see, he was at least 50 pounds overweight, maybe more. Dispite his belly being so huge, though, he still liked to chase Sophie around. I dont know where that dog went, i hope he went to a good, caring home that doesnt over-feed.

Wow, that dog in the picture is gorgeous!

Thank you!
