Punkygirl requested some pictures of Wiener, which made me realize, i dont really have many pictures of WieWie!

So, i took him outside and took a bunch of pictures! I think i did good, i usually end up taking mostly A.j. pictures, but i only have 1 A.j. picture in this bunch, and 2 Simetra pictures, the rest is Wiener.

Ok, thats all! As you can probably tell, Wiener is the clown-dog of the house!

awwww! I just love Dachshunds. My grandmother has always had them and bred them so I have grown up with them. She told me when something happens to her that she wants me to take her 2 dachshunds. Hopefully that wont happen anytime soon though.

I hated Dachshunds at first and couldnt believe that my parents agreed to getting one. But, after about 6 minutes of Wiener being at our house, i realized how cute they are, so i took him in while my sister worked. But, once he was old enough to walk around the house on his own, he ditched me and went for dad.

I dont mind though, i love my springers. The only thing i dont like about Wiener is hes so stubborn, but im getting over it. He is a really great Agility dog, ill have to ask my sister to take a video for me agian.

Yes, Wiener does rule the house, accually. He is dominant over everything and bites everyone, but my dad spoils him rotten. Dispite me working with Wiener everyday, its like 1 step forward and 2 steps back (i heard my mom use that phrase today). I will get him to the point where i can just go up to him and shove him off the couch, but then he forgets it all because dad will let Wiener jump up whenever he wants to and will "calm" Wiener down when he gets ready to bite someone. As i see it, he is just praising Wiener for biting us. Dad acts like how i train is "mean", but if it was mean, why arent all the dogs ive trained scared of me? The dogs i train love me, usually. Sophies the only one who doesnt like the training, because she likes to just lay around all day.

Sorry, got into a little bit of a rant there, it just makes me furious when people ignore my training tips as if im stupid. Sure, dad has owned dogs his whole life, but i have too, and i accually study on dog behavior and training, he doesnt. *growls* Lol

Don't worry I have a seemingly never ending battle with the BF re: training tips at times - sometimes he just doesn't think about what he wants River to do and what he's actually asking him to do - maybe one day I'll get through to him!!

Yay! I wanted to see Wiener pictures!! He is SOo cute! (I am a LITTLE biased.).

I always told my mom I didn't want anymore dachshunds, and didn't want any when I was older because I grew up with them, but I have this very strong love for them!

That picture of him with the basketball just reminds me too much of my Harry, and Elliot (who barks at large balls, especially his soccer ball)

Thanks! Thats probably how i will be with Mutts. I really like my springers, but i think id like springer mixes better. I dont know exactly why, i just really like the Mutts. When im older ill probably only adopt the mixes from pounds and shelters. I guess i just like having a couple or more different breeds, all in one dog (like Sophie has at least 4 different breeds).
Lol, must be a Dachshund thing! Wiener is SO hillarious with that basketball. I have a video that ill upload soon, its of him "talking" to his basketball.

What's with the green dye on AJ's front paw and face? Not something to do with St Patricks day, is it?

Lol, yeah, thats probably part of the reason! But, i think he thought he heard his "Daddy" (my dad), so he was listening.

Yeah, i realized that even though i just bought 4 new bandanas, i didnt have anything green for the dogs (or me) to wear. So i got out my washable, non-toxic markers and wrote all over my hands. Then both of my springers got a 4-leaf clover on their cheek and their paw, even though it just looks like a big spot.

None of us got pinched though!

They were wiggling so much because i guess the marker tickled or something.

We include all the dogs in everything we celebrate. We wrap presents for them on Christmas and we buy costumes for them on Halloween. I have pictures of A.j. during Halloween and Christmas.
