Hi
I was going to make a small picture video of rescue/shelter dogs and I was in need of pictures. I'm looking for pics of dogs at shelters/rescues, ones in foster homes that are still available, or before and after pics of dogs rescued. I have pics of my own from the shelter I volunteer at, but I've been using the same pics for a while and it's getting old, so I was wondering if anyone had pics I could use? I will definetly make sure to post a link to the video for anyone to see I will make sure to put credits at the end for those who want them so please post if you'd like me to do that Thank you!As examples, these are two very old ones I did...not very good, but you can see I used the same pics over again with different songs ![]() http://youtube.com/watch?v=IK9fglxiH7U http://youtube.com/watch?v=dngPdVJx0W4 |

Gracie came from the animal shelter and was adopted just an hour before she was to be euthanized. She is such a sweet baby.
This is the day I got her look at how scared she was ![]() and now ![]() ![]() Lucy was adopted from the same high kill shelter when she was 6 weeks old. She now has a fun life of playing with tennis balls and laying in the sun ![]() ![]() I would love to see the finished product |

I can try to help! Only 1 of my dogs came from a shelter, but 1 of them i adopted from someone who hadnt treated her right for a year before giving her up.
Sophie was taken to a shelter when she was only 6 weeks old, when we found her and took her in. When we got her she was TERRIFIED of boxes and crates, but she will now get into anything i ask her to. A picture of her just about 6 to 8 months after we adopted her: ![]() A picture of her just 2 days ago: ![]() You can see that she is a lot more confident now and that she is more muscular and her coat is less greasy looking. Simetra was born into a nice home that kept her but sold her brothers and sisters (i know this because i bought her brother, who is now my handsome boy, A.j.). Everything was great for her until her owner started having money and family problems and turned abusive towards her and her mother. When Simetra was about 8 months old, her owner left to a different state to stay with her boyfriend for a month, leaving her 3 dogs to be cared for by a totally un-trustworthy person. The person would just pour out the dog food and let the dogs deal with who got what food. Simetra ended up getting really skinny. When her owner got back, she had to move to a non-dog house, so she gave up Simetra to me, since i had Simetra's brother. Ive had Simetra for about 3 or 4 weeks now and Simetra has inproved a lot. She has a lot more muscle now, she isnt as scared anymore, and she is a lot more confident and sure that no one will hit her. Simetra just after she arrived (she was scared that i would hit her if she was standing and if i bent down in front of her crate, she would squish into the back corner, from being scared) : ![]() ![]() Simetra just 2 days ago: ![]() ![]() You can see that she is a lot more confident and she isnt afraid to stand in front of me anymore. You cant tell in the pictures, but she has gained weight (a lot of it from muscle) and her coat is nice and silky, now. Sophie is a 5 year old Mutt (Terrier/Shepherd/Lab/Husky/?) and is now trained in Agility, Rally-O, Sledding, Show (even though she cant go in a show), and soon Flyball. Simetra is a 15 month old English Springer Spaniel and is mainly working on trust and Obedience. I hope some of this is something you can use! I would put my other 2 dogs in, too, but they arent rescues. I cant wait to see the finished video! ![]() |

I don't know if these will help you. They are of my Chase girl who left me two years ago. She had osteosarcoma.
She was rescued from the local animal control in 1996. Several people had looked at her but said she was too old! She spent 8 lovely, too short years with us being the perfect dog and a true ambassador for her breed. ![]() ![]() |
