He reminds me of a leopard or something similar with that tail... WOW!!

They look strange but beautiful with tails. That is a beautiful dog! Reminds me of a cheetah in the first pic.

I'm not a sporting dog person-- I now need a to see a pic with tails for comparison. Weims aren't docked short are they ? Aren't they docked long like Viszla's.? I guess I could get off my butt and look at some pics of Topper......

Wow, they are adorable! I think the taile almost makes them less "unique," as in they don't stand out as much??? I don't know--I think I like the docked tailes

Beautiful!! I am not a fan of docked tails or cropped ears, I prefer natural! I love Weims with tails. Does anyone have pictures of a long coated/wired weim? I LOVE Dobies with natural ears and tails!

Yes, Weimies are docked short... about half the length of vizsla, but not as short as a boxer or rottie.

These dogs are from a beautiful kennel in Luxemburg. Their older dogs are all docked, like the dam in the pic.. but now they can't so...

I follow them to see what the dogs look like. It's amazing to me that their tails look thicker, I suppose from muscling around the tail bone.

Glad you all liked the pics.

I can see though how they would injure their tails in the field... They're very long!!

Woah..they look strange! lol. My mom loves Weims, we actually looked at some puppies years ago..and almost got one too, except the "breeders" took lousy care of them,and we didn't want to support them. Now we know they are Bybs..that was back in the day, before I knew much about bad breeders. My mom wants a rescue weim in the future though!
