Had Lucy one year

A year ago today I rescued Lucy from neglect and pure abuse! She has come along way, and is a completely different dog! She is my little sweetheart

She's beautiful! I'm primarily a big dog person but chi's are one of the few little dogs I like. She's a doll.

She's cute! Looks very similar to my mom's chi, Chong. Does she like to burrow under the blankets?

Lucy LOVES burrowing under the blankets. Even when its hot she is under the covers. She can't eat treats unless shes under the covers also.

Hey, what is the measurement of her neck? I bought a collar the other day only to find it was WAY too small for any of my dogs (Trixie and her chunky neck... *grumble*

), and I wonder if it would fit your baby? It's a purple satin one with several rhinestones and a matching leash. Let me know 'cause I'd love to give it to you!

Her neck is about 9 inches. (She really didn't want the measuring tape near her..lol, so she squirmed..but I got 9 inches.)

Oh my gosh, I got it to fit on Trixie just now! I must not of tried hard enough to get it to adjust longer last time. The collar's cardboard thing says it's a 6-9" collar so I tried it on Trixie again to determine if it would really go to 9 inches. It's 9 inches including the plastic buckles so the measurement is slightly deceptive. However, Trixie has alot of hair and I got it to fit comfortably on her (her neck is about 9 inches, too), so I bet it would fit Lucy. Do you think her neck is slightly over or under 9 inches?

I'd still like to send your little girl one. I can actually get it in pink with rhinestones, too, if you'd like that better (I noticed her current collar is pink and goes well with her coloring

). Would you use the leash, too? It's 5 ft. long and has a few rhinsetones on it, as well.

The purple is like a royal purple--very striking--and the pink is lighter and also very striking because the silk material makes them very shiney.

So let me know if you'd like one, with or without leash, pink or purple, and I'll go grab another for Lucy! She deserves it, and the silk will be gentle on her little neck, I think.

Hehe, Chong loves to burrow under the covers too. If he can't find a blanket, he tries to get under my mom's night gown. LOL

Lucy has a ridge of furr on her kneck, and I didn't even attempt to put the measuring tape into that, so its definitely smaller than 9 inches. 9 inches was above the furr.

That would be super nice of you!

I walk Lucy three times a day, cause her and Charlotte don't get a long with each other, so i have to take Lucy out in the front yard separately..so i definitely use the leash! I think pink looks really nice on Lucy!

LOL, if I am sitting on the couch and Lucy can't get to a blanket, she will go into my shirt. And last night in the car she burrowed in my purse hehe.

Lucy is so gorgeous, I just want to scritch that gorgeous round head of hers.

Congrats on having her a year and thankyou for making her healthy again, not to mention giving her all the love she deserves. How anyone can neglect and abuse any dog is beyond me.

This is a Chihuahua trait...Jesse LOVED to burrow. He'd burrow under cushions if there was no blanket around.

You couldn't flick a blanket, sheet, towel, shirt, teatowel etc... if he was near you, without having him demanding you to let him burrow underneath it.

Yet another reason to love Chihuahuas.
