What a surprise!
I was sooooo surprised and just thrilled to the point of tears when we got the August addition of Dog World magazine today, what did I find but that they were doing a "meet the breed" on the Bulldog!

What brought a HUGE smile to my face and tears? The standard for the breed was listed there along with....a large beautiful picture of none other than my foundation bitch Gabby! Yep, shes still my ideal and how proud I was to see her featured with the standard for the breed! ( Ohhhh how I miss you Gabbers and wish you were still here with me! )

I know the scan kinda stinks, it's fuzzy but I had to share.

Yes, that magazine as well as several others and calendar companies all had that picture submitted to them years ago. We submit new photos every year and have for a long time but that particular photo was only submitted just that once when Gabby was about three years old.

Ahh that's wonderful. I too had a similar experience when I looked at our KC website and on one of the pages was a photo of my foundation bitch too. I also had a little weep when I saw it as I wasn't expecting her to be looking at me from a computer 3 years after her death.
