just a couple pics ;)
It's been awhile since I've posted pictures, so here's a couple to make up for it.
![]() We went hiking up Multnomah Falls yesterday .. Only got one good shot of Mazie and me, so here it is. This was on our way down - we stopped at the little bridge just above the lower waterfall... As you can probably tell, I was in pain and Mazie was still full on energy ![]() And here's Mazie chillin' out in the back seat. ![]() ![]() More to come ![]() |

Multnomah Falls looks like such a lovely place to walk through. Looks like Mazie had fun!
But... Geez, no wonder your legs are hurting, that path looks STEEP! ![]() |

Ohhh yeah, it's steep in some places. but there's places on the way up to sit down and relax for a couple minutes before making the trek up the mountain again.
I've probably posted this picture before, but I figure I'd show it again to show how high the falls are. ![]() ![]() It takes about 20 - 30 minutes to get to the top, depends on how many times you stop. ... I stopped every few minutes because stupid me forgot to bring water.. ![]() |

Oh wow! Is that bridge the same as the one pictured in the first photo? Gosh, the waterfall and all the greenery looks lovely!
![]() I've attempted to climb to the top of a waterfall before, but I gave up about 1 hour in cause it was going to take another 40 minutes to get up there and it started raining! There weren't any paths, so it was starting to get slippery walking on all the twigs and leaves. I would love to go back and do the walk again, though. It's something nice to acomplish. |

Yep - same bridge.
It's quite a trek up there, but the view is sooo worth it. There's also a place up there where you can sit and relax (on a boulder, hehe) dip your feet in the water, let the dog get a drink, etc... Mazie, after getting her drink of water, jumped in the creek up there and got herself drenched. She was dry by the time we got to the bridge. |

That's really beautiful!! Nice that you can make such wonderful memories to carry you over when you grow old. I'd love to see that, but I'd be packing a back pack with food and water.

Nice pics! I'd love it if we had something like that around here!
Did you go the year before? The pic of the waterfall I think I remember seeing. It's gorgeous -- I'd love to visit one some day! Mazie doesn't even look phased -- I bet she was wondering why you had stopped! LOL |

I did go last year - and the year before, I believe. I try to go at least once or twice a year. If any of you are ever in the area, I'd be more than happy to take you up there - it's a little over an hour's drive from my place.. There's several waterfalls in the area, too, with trails that are both fun and challenging to climb. The full trail up Multnomah to Larch Mountain is about 7 miles, one way... The trail to the top of the falls is only a mile.
