My best friend got a new puppy

My friend (The dog lover) called me to tell me one of her irresponsible neighbors who always get dogs and then lets them wander, or gets rid of them knocked on her door with this Doberman (Mix?) puppy asking if they can take her cause they couldn't take care of her anymore..so she said yes. Shes absolutely adorable. She looks just like a doberman, has the body shape (Undocked tail, and uncropped ears), and red in color (Chocolate). But she doesn't have the rusting at all, so we think she could possibly be a lab mix as well. She got pictures, and as soon as she uploads them onto the computer, I will post them here.

Will she be keeping her? I am happy she found a better home.

We are seeing if she is keeping her. She lives with her mother still, so its her mother's choice..We just took her to the dog park, and she needs some major obedience. She doesn't come, or listen at all..and she needs a lot of socialization. She was great with small dogs, but large dogs scared her half to death!

Ooh..I cannot believe I forgot to mention this. She was COVERED in ticks! They were everywhere. I picked off as many as I could, and we gave her revolution..and then a few minutes ago gave her a bath to get the dead ticks off. The were inbedded in her ears, and inbetween toes, eyes,tail,and in her armpits....everywhere!

She's absolutely gorgeous! It's annoying when irresponsible owners think they can just 'dump' their pets (and their responsibility) on other people. Why should they get off so easy? They're just lucky some people are kind enough to take on any pet.

This puppy is sooo very beautiful. Sooo very cute!!
I hate it when people take dogs and then neglect them -- so very selfish. They satisfy their ego and wants for a few months and then it is over. I do not know how they do it, but I get soo attached to them, that it would have to be a matter of life and death in order to give up an animal, and that would be given only in the person I would screen and choose as suitable to love and care for it.

I am getting my puppy in August 20, and one of the reasons I am so very excited is because I am waiting for her for 11 years. I wanted a dog since I came to U.S, but so what? The truth is I did not have space for a dog, I did not have money, or time. I wanted to cry everytime I thought about how much I wanted a dog -- guess what? Tough! I could not have a dog at that time, I did not get one. For eleven years, I wanted one, and I could not have one.
Now that I can (even though it will still be a little hard as I still do not have much space), I know that I can find the time to have a dog. At the house will be a little tough because of space, but I have arrange my lifestyle in a way that my dog will be most time with me -- even in college later. If I had put my selfish desires before the animal's well-being, I would have gotten a dog and send it to a shelter a few months later. What is the world these people are thinking?? Animals are living beings, not a chair that you got tired of it and you can through it away because you decided to get a new one or sit on the floor. I am sorry, but I am getting really furious about stuff like that. Do these people have any heart in them?? When I see something like that, I feel like screaming!!!

It definitally looks like she has some Choc. Lab in her. She is such a STUNNING girl. Do you know how old she is?
I'm glad your friend took her in...just imagine what would have happend to her if she hadn't?

What a purdy girl!

Wow, the lab certainly sticks out (at least to me ) in her face! I can see the dobie with her skinnier legs, but weim sounds like a good match too! Whichever she is, she's too cute!

ETA: I'm leaning more towards lab x dobie cause of her muzzle. She seems to have that pointed muzzle of a dobie.

I am guessing Weim x doberman or maybe something else. I knew someone with a weim x husky and he looked alot like that just more muscular. He also had the same eyes.
