Here she is - Starr
Well we got back about 2 hours ago. My older Bro puppy sat the puppsters with my younger brother, while my parents, baby sis and I went on the 1hr 20min drive to pick up Starr . We left way earlyt due to a Drs. Appointment , visit with my grandmother and a quick visit with a few friends of mine at my old job. We arrived a little after 4pm and got Starr. I seen no emotions, but possibly they didn't want to make it obvious.. She isn't in bad shape. They really left out some key training they did. They only told me she knew Sit, Stay, Paw and "Please"... Well I did a little eval. and she knows a little more. She'll find a home in no time. She is a sweet dog !! We think after she gets her vaccinations, we'lll introduce Beau, Daisy, Kula and Bella to her. She was raised with 1 other dog, and has met several. She is not dog agressive, nor human agressive so we think it'll work out great. She is set up in a ;large area w/ access to our shop. In there we have put a 6W X 6L X 4H outdoor kennel , a bed and a blanket. We also have a few toys for her in there, as well as a fan. She is chained up, as we were told she can clear a 4' fence(which happends to be the hight of ours.. But she has allot of room. She can just reach each side of the area, and to the back, and go inside her "room".... When she gets her Vaccs. we'll change things around. I'll take some more pics tomorrow before work, but here are a few that I took when she got here.

She so purdy!
Well it's good that her manners are a little better than you thought! That's definetly a huge plus when rehoming her!Looking forward to many updates! Cdn: I bet she'd do great in something like that -- have you thought about maybe teaching her some basic stuff like that Paw, to see if she'd enjoy it? (Maybe teaching her to jump over something, or stay on a table, etc) |

Hm, possibly. I could make a few jumps and see what she does. We've been wanting to get that Agility kit from Drs. Foster & Smith for Bella, Kula and Rainy, but we keep getting caught up in other things... But yeah, she would be great in agility. She's full of energy, very athletic and agile. She's got long legs and is built light (she's like a field bred in looks)..
Her first night went VERY well. We were expecting some barks and whining, but nothing. She was quiet and loves the bed we gave her lol. She only started to bark when I started getting breakfast ready for every one. Of course, all our dogs bark at some point when it's feeding time lol. Today we gave everyone a treat and added some can food allong with their kibble. 1/2 got Fish and Potato and the other 1/2 Venison and Rice. She munched that down like there was no tomorrow lol ! But yeah, she's doing allot better then we thought she would .. After she gets Spayed in Sept. she'll be ready to go. I'm sure she'll have no problem getting a loving home ! |
