Ferret pictures and video!
I'm fostering a baby ferret at the moment, and she is just such the character! She just loves to hop around and dook. I shot two videos of her last night, as well as taking some pictures of her and my two ferrets.
I only have one video uploaded, but will get the other uploaded later (my computer is acting slow at the moment so it is going to be a challenge just to get these pictures uploaded). So, without further ado, here are the awfully cute little fuzzbutts! Here is Indi. She is 16 weeks old and is very much a baby ferret. lol (And she IS up for adoption, if anyone is interested! )![]() ![]() These pictures aren't the greatest, but it was hard taking pictures of her. Watch this video and you will understand why. lol She was acting like that for about two hours straight and when I put her up for bed she was still hyper. Please forgive the mess on the floor....Dameon dumped their food container and Casey had knocked over the aspen bedding bag...the vacumn clogs up when I sweep it up and I hadn't gotten around to using a broom yet. Turn your sound on to hear her dooking away! ![]() Casey isn't too thrilled about her, but Dameon likes her. They both, however, where more interested in her cage than in her. When I came back into the room after grabbing my camera, here is what I found: ![]() And now, some cute pictures I snapped of Casey and Dameon, most of them being of Dameon: ![]() ![]() ![]() And because I know you ALL love seeing pictures of Chloe....here is one I took the other night: ![]() |

I've always thought ferrets were so cute and adorable!
Do you have anyone that's interested in adopting her? |

However, my first impression with the inquirees wasn't great. The first thing both of them did was ask for pictures - no other info or anything. Of course, I'm trying not to judge and I sent them pictures and the video. One has replied back and asked how much I want for her (and that was it. Nothing else. Silly me, when I've inquired about an animal I give all kinds of info on me so they know I'm truely interested and will provide a good home. I probably babbled on like an idiot when I was inquiring about my bird, Joey). I told them the price and gave them the application to fill out. She is SO not going to just any home. I'm going to be very, very picky. (BTW, I'm using this app., with a few adjustments - http://www.fourcornersferretrescue.com/id61.htm ) My younger sister has already grown attached to the fert, but I'm pretty sure my mom is NOT going to let us keep her. And my deal with mom was that we just foster the fert, not keep it, and I'm not going back on that (unless, of course, mom just wants me to ). |

She's gorgeous Ritz!
And I love the video, I'm so happy to hear that famous 'dooking' at last. It's adorable. I'd love a ferret one day too, but I don't think that'll ever happen. I'll be luck enough if I ever get another dog. LOL Cass. |

How cute is that! I would love to have a ferret but I have too many animals at this time and wouldn't have the time required to take care of one. Maybe one day i'll have one.

Aren't ferrets just the most precious things?
I've decided that along with dogs, I'll never be without a ferret. A single ferret is much harder to take care of than two or more as you are their single source of intertainment. With two ferrets, I only have to set aside about 45 minutes a day to play with them (generally in the morning when I'm getting ready for school and then again at night when I'm getting ready for bed). Besides that time of one on one interaction with me, I give them free run of my room during the day and they entertain themselves (although often in ways that requires me to do lots of cleaning). Aside from their stink, now that my two are older and trained, they are the best of critters. They require about the same effort that a kitten does. They are the perfect blend of kitten and dog. LOL |

They have their happy dook, which is what Indi was doing. They will also squeel when being "gator rolled" by another ferret in a noise of protest. When they are extreamly scared or in pain they make a high pitched chattering noise. Casey has done this a couple of times because she's gotten her foot caught in something and when you hear this noise from a ferret it means jump up and run to your ferret's aid immeadiately. It is kind of like hearing your dog scream - your heart stops for a moment and then you are right there. If they are ticked off, frightened, or want to tell you (or another ferret) to "back off", they will hiss at you. It isn't the loud hiss of a cat, but you definitally get the point. I just love all of their body movements and language! (Not to mention they are just too cute, even when they are scared! ) |

Huh,well I learned something new!! I always thought they were quiet animals. My old friends had them before too,but they never made a sound when I was around!
I guess thats why I thought they were quiet animals!I would love a ferret someday, but right now I already have quite the housefold of fuuzbutts and a 3 yr old daughter...so it would have to wait!! |

Too Cute! I haven't ever heard them make that noise either! Adorable!
My dad's girlfriend has a white one, he is so much fun to play with! Mandi is interested in him, but he always tries to play with her...then she runs away. LOL |
