Oh guys, we had some weather coming in... We could see what is coming last night... so i brought the dogs in...
Over the night i could hear the horses running on the pasture, mixed with thunder and limbs braking off of trees.... These are some pictures when I let the dogs out this morning and looked arround on the property if all is still ok. I will go here in a little bit and feed the horses... So more pics too come..... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The kenneldogs are back in the Kennel, they are save for now, have to bring them in later again, though...i guess. It keeps raining in between...My girls do not want to go outside really, I have to make them.....
Well the horses are fine! They get spooked alot, by the trees cracking and limbs falling to the ground. It is quite an adventure to get to the horses, it stoped raining in between and so the wet could all ice up, while it was raining you had some melted spots. I had to tip over the roundbale to get to some hey, and i couldn't use the wheelbarrel and well the gate was iced chut, too. so I had to feed them outside, but i guess they wouldn't stay inside anyways, because they are so worried about the falling trees. Here are some pics.... ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Here they got spooked by a falling limb/tree Herkules herds them all away.... ![]() Here's how the tails look, all iced up... and the maines , too, the coat has ice on them, too. thank goodness they are so well insulated.. ![]() the electricity keeps flickering and the internet, too. So i think if it keeps raining it is just a metter of time untill we sit in the dark..... |

Keep safe and warm! Hope the rain stops soon, that ice is going to do some serious damage. Good thing the horses are smart and stay away from the trees.

hi Jamila, you really got lucky then.....
Here I fight with quite a bit of ice, had to free my heater Vent from all the ice, and since there is more to come.... i put a tarp (Tipee like) over the Vent so the icestorm that is supposed to come tonite doesn't freeze my heatervent again... Numerous trees have payed their dues ,too. My nice old trees arround the house broke limbs off left and right. My willow, my old i don't know what it is next to the barn and the old big one next to my agility field had lost some big limbs, once i alsmost saw my kennls in dangera big limb broke off the tree over the kennels and came down, but very gently and it got stoped bu the fence...so nothing happened there... I just brought the dogs in the garage and i guess now i just can await the next round. i saw today, that a fruitles peartree is blockking my driveway further up towards the road. so i got to tackle that tomorrow hope it thaws out a bit. We hat to tow that thing with an old schoolbus to move it a bit. but i guess we have to cut it, or something i don't know.... Well i wish you all agood nite.. I made some more pics but am too tired now to upload them all... Post them tomorrow... |
