More smooshy face Pictures

Here are some more pictures of the little ones. They are now 4 weeks old (as of Dec.25th). Jan (breeder) chose their pick and it's no-band black boy. They named him Tank. I can't believe how big they are getting and SO CUTE !!!

This is Jans little boy, Tank ^

Yellow Boy

Pink Band girl ^

Madison as her new family has named her (Orange band girl) ^

and here are some pics of Bella girl, who is now 8 MONTHS old already.

sorry for the quality of this pic, it was taken early morning

ALSO, some very exciting news !! Bella's uncle (dams litter brother) is now Can. Ch. Bri-Chers Loves A Rainey Knight .. Thought I would share that bit with everyone, it was nice to hear but Blades is a great producer, so it wasn't a big surprise lol.

They chose well though, Tank is a very nice looking Dog puppy. I think they made a great choice and IF I were them, I would also keep Pink Band girl as a potential. Honestly, I think every puppy in this litter would be a prospect and should be given the chance to finish or at least TRY to "prove" them selves. However, it is hard to co-own 1 , non the less, 4 . This litter mixes 2 great pedigrees and very nice linage (Hyspire, Beechcroft, Sailin, Borador, etc). Also, it's not as crazy as choosing at 16 days , because that's when we chose Bella (and we did a pretty darn good job).. Knowing the pedigree, sire and dam and what is produced (ie sibilings of the parents, etc) really helped us make an educated pick. Many breeders choose younger, because they know what they produced. It is risky, but really, choosing at any age is risky.

LOL, I know, I just want to reach through the screen and cuddle them !

Just out of curiosity , how does one know pick from at litter at only 4 weeks old.
At 4 weeks you can not really tell structure or can they do the temp test( can not remember it's name). Is she just doing a crack shot and hoping...

I think even choosing at 8 weeks is no guarantee, so I yeah, every breeder is taking a "crack shot and hoping"- rather it be 4 weeks or 4 months. That's what it is, down to the bottom line. I think she trusts what she knows and what she wants (ie the qualities she seeks). IMO, I think she made a good choice based on what she has told me about him. Other then that, It's up to the breeder and what he/she thinks is best.

Does she do the Pat test with another breeder ? I would have thought she would have wanted to do that first, so she could chose the right working dog. Is she just showing, or does she want working as well?

Possibly, she didn't say how she came to her choice, it is really none of my business why she chose him and why so early or what she used (ie method) to pick him. I know she is close with Bella's breeder, so it is likely that they helped.

Pick of the litter is easy. A dog will always pick you. It's just how it sorks. Don't be in a hurry! Let them find you. The right one will, and you'll know too! Good luck!
